The inspiration for this class was the famous Japanese dueslist Miyamoto Musashi and his Book of Five Rings. By no means is this a Samurai clone; it’s essentially a cross between a Fighter and a monk, highly optimized for dual wielding, with access to a bit of magic as well.
As a Wayseeker you can only use most of your class benefits while unarmored and holding a versatile blade and a lighter blade. You also get to choose between one of five “Wayseeker Paths” that allow you to learn a few ki-based magical effects as you level up.
As I am a DM for my own custom created Campaign in the weird world of Eressi, I thought I might as well start throwing up my Homebrew D&D 5e creations for if anyone else wants to use them. Just credit me and stuff and I’ll be happy.
I decided to make a list of DM stuff that I personally use or think are important to know when it comes to being a DM. So here’s my list:
Medieval Fantasy City Generator: This generator is now my LIFE. It generates incredibly complex cities with good customization. (Thanks to plantkat for sharing this site in their post here)
Naming Your Towns/Cities:Now that you’ve made your city, time to name it and give it some character! This post contains lots of great information.
Index Cards Rule:Fuckyeahdnd shared a SUPER convenient way of keeping track of turns and HP in combat. I use this system now for every single session I run.
Troublesome Players? Speak Up:Dicebound brings up an incredibly great point. If someone is being a jerk, speak up and call them out. This is especially important and relevant now to crush awful behavior before it even has a chance to show it’s ugly face.
(Character stuff, spells, online communities/ways to play, etc..)
A lot of people contributed to this post but thank you Mushroomancy for posting the original list.
Donjon: And finally, this site is a great resource for looking up Spells and Monsters along with tons of other generators. Not every single Spell or Monster is on here, but most are listed.
(I tried to give credit to the original posters or the actual URL for websites, unless those sites or URLs were no longer active)
Populating a town or city and in desperate need of quick bounty quests? Players asking the local tavern for rumors when you had nothing prepared? Don’t Panic! Just head on over and grab a copy 100 Monster Hunts!
Each quest has been outlined with a bounty advertisement for your players, and additional quest details for the DM, including named NPCs, plot or objectives, loot and treasure rewards, as well as helpful page references for each item or monster used in the quest.
Need something quick and don’t want to drag through all 100 hunts to find something? Just roll a d100 and consult the table to quickly whip up a sudden quest whenever you need it!
So what are you waiting for? Give yourself a chance to flex those RP muscles and have your players ready their weapons – it’s monster hunting time!
If you consume this potion as an action, you immediately fall unconscious for 1 minute. After that time you gain the benefits of a short rest.
One dose of this is a little pint of 1 ounce. The potion is deep black and smells like coffee and lavender.
Cost: Somewhere between 1 and 25 gold
I forgot to mention, this is not supposed to be a healthy thing to do. You literally drink a cocktail that knocks you out! Come up with some nasty side effects
When you drink the potion roll on the following table:
1- Expired Potion: You lose the potion and do not gain the benefit this time. Roll once more for an additional negative effect (rerolling 1’s)
2- Circadian Chaos: You may not take a long rest for 2d6 hours.
3- Nauseated: You are poisoned until either the poison condition is removed by a spell such as ‘Lesser Restoration’ or after d4 hours. Constitution saving throws to resist throwing up are disadvantage.
4- Wired: Your Perception rolls are advantage and ranged attack rolls and slight of hand checks are disadvantaged for 1 hour.
5- Cranky: Charisma checks are disadvantage for d4 hours.
