Heat-Draining Aura. A creature that starts its turn within 15 feet of the bleakborn takes 5 points of cold damage, and the bleakborn regains hit points equal to the damage taken. A humanoid creature that dies while within 15 feet of the bleakborn rises 24 hours later as a zombie under the bleakborn’s control, unless the humanoid is restored to life or its body is destroyed. The bleakborn can have no more than twelve zombies under its control at one time.
Actions
Multiattack. The bleakborn makes two slam attacks.
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d6+5) bludgeoning damage plus 7 (2d6) cold damage.

Appearing as a gaunt walking corpse with patches of ice across its rotted skin, bleakborn feast on the body heat of living creatures. Too long without it, and they go dormant, appearing to be nothing but a dead body until a living creature comes within 15 feet of it: at which point it awakens, hungry for the creature’s heat. Bleakborn raise those they kill as zombies, helping them defend their lairs. Bleakborn are created when humanoids die in bitterly cold conditions, either freezing to death or in some other way. They stand a little over six feet tall and weigh between 150 and 230 pounds.
